about me

Hi, I’m Daniel Zaslavsky – the hands and heart behind ZUSA.
I’m not just a craftsman – I’m also a survivor.
On October 7, 2023, I attended the Nova music festival in southern Israel – a place meant for joy, freedom, and music. That day turned into a nightmare I never could have imagined. I survived the brutal terrorist attack that claimed so many innocent lives. Physically, I escaped. Emotionally – I’ve been rebuilding myself ever since.
In the months that followed, I found it hard to breathe, to trust the world, or even to be around people. But one thing helped me find solid ground again: creating.
I picked up a piece of wood. I poured epoxy resin into its cracks. And something unexpected happened – not only was I repairing the wood, I was slowly repairing myself.
What began as therapy turned into a calling.
Through ZUSA, I transform natural materials – wood with all its imperfections, resin with its clarity – into functional art that carries meaning. Each table, tray, sculpture or decorative piece I make is born from a place of emotion. Sometimes from pain. Sometimes from strength. Always from truth.
Creating gives me peace. It reminds me of beauty, of balance, of what it means to build something instead of breaking it. My art isn’t about perfection – it’s about healing, expression, and connection.
If you’ve made it this far – thank you. You’re not just visiting a store. You’re stepping into a story of survival, of growth, and of hope.
Welcome to ZUSA.
Where wood meets wonder. Where pain becomes purpose. Where creation is life.
